Provide at least three (3) examples of gaps in health insurance coverage that might cause people to seek health care at the Jackson Free Clinic.

Explain how the U.S. health system became so reliant on employer-based health insurance coverage and how that structure affects access to health insurance.

Name the four major publicly funded health coverage programs and the populations they cover.

Describe the group of people in Mississippi who are most likely to be uninsured because they have no source to subsidize their coverage.

Identify three common health care services not typically covered by traditional health insurance policies.

Provide one argument in favor of and one argument in opposition to expansion of Medicaid to low-income adults in Mississippi.

Target Audience

Physicians, Dentists, Pharmacists, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Dietitians, Social Workers, Dental Hygienists, Dental Assistants & other allied healthcare professionals. 

Continuing Education credit is available.
